DLT Synchronous lifting systems Our synchronous lifting system connects an almost unlimited number of jacking points and allows fully automated monitoring, control and synchronization from a central control computer via a CAN-bus network. Synchronous listing systems have many applications, including bridge lifts, building lifts, offshore float-over operations and lifting and weighing of large offshore structures. The system can be supplied with jacks from 10 tonnes to 2,500 tonnes each with strokes from 50 mm to 5000 mm or more, with or without locking collars as required. The jacks can be used alone for short lifts or can be incorporated into a jack-and-pack system to lift to greater heights. Each jack is fitted with a pressure transducer and an internal stroke encoder which are connected by a data cable to a CAN node situated in each power pack. This information is fed back to the control computer where the load and stroke of each jack is displayed and also saved to a log file for future analysis. The system can automatically extend all jacks to a set load to bed them in ready for lift, and then cary out a synchronous lift at all jacking points. The system will automatically synchronise the extension of all jacks to stay within a stroke range specified by the operator and will automatically stop if any of the jack loads exceeds a value set by the operator. The control system is based on our proven DL-P40 heavy lifting control system. The hydraulic power packs can be diesel or electric powered. Each power pack can operate up to 10 No jacks. A typical layout for the system is shown below.
