DLT are awarded one of the biggest contracts ever for supply of strand jacks for the Olmstead locks and dam project in Illinois, USA. DLT will be supplying two seperate computer controlled strand jack systems, each having 14 No 1022 metric tonne capacity strand jacks. The systems will be delivered in 2010 and will carry out heavy lifting of precast concrete shells over several years. Our DL-TS3000 jacking tower system is mobilised to site in Gunsan, korea,for the erection of a 6,000 tonne shipyard goliath crane manufactured by Hyundai Heavy Industries. March 2009...
DLT complete load transfer of the 3,520 tonne roof to the HAECO aircraft maintenance hanger 3A at Hong Kong Internation Airport, for client China State - Leighton JV. The main trusses of the roof were lifted in December 2008 using our DL-TS3000 jacking tower system and held in position whilst the secondary steelwork was erected by crane.
February 2009..
DLT make delivery of a computer controlled 16 x 588 tonne strand jack system to BARD Emden GmbH in Germany, for use in the site installation of a transformer platform on the BARD Offshore 1 wind farm. The transformer platform will complete assembly in Belfast later this year and will then be floated out to the site off the north coast of Germany where the strand jacks will be used firstly to lower the jacket and base to the sea bed, and then to raise the top sides out of the water into final location at the top of the jacket.
